here is how you set up your open id so you can comment on my brilliant and funny posts so i know you know how brilliant and funny they are.

go here: http://www.dreamwidth.org/openid/

put your lj url in. so, username.livejournal.com .

hit the button.

lj will ask if it can pass credentials to dw. you will say yes. it's not sharing your password, it's just saying "no, really, she's who she says she is".

you say "why kal! you are so brilliant and funny!" in response to one of my posts.

you only have to do this set up bit once.

jinian, does it ask to pass credentials everytime, or does it remember?

Thank you for spelling this out so clearly! I have wanted to comment on a couple of your posts - but had not yet prioritized figuring out how.
You + Josiedog are in my thoughts.

It remembers. It might be a cookie or something that you could delete, but I've never had trouble.

For me it seems to want typing the "Identity URL" each time. But the browser remembers.
