--What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?

i'm going to choose a cheerful one for this one-- make doro wat and gomen wat. super tasty.

i made one, i mostly kept it, and i'm going to make it again. (regret things you did, rather than things you didn't do.)

nope.

my josiedog. i found some pictures of her in my regex book at work. she was a goof.

--What countries did you visit?

the united states. i did go to wisconsin, though. [weeps]

--What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?

--What was your biggest achievement of the year?

with the help of my fabulous personal financial advisor, getting my finances somewhat in order. i mean, they're still appalling, but now they're lined up in little rows that i am gnawing at slowly.

--What was your biggest failure?

i don't know. i don't remember any big events (email me if you're going to remind me of some, okay? okay.). i do continue to struggle with remembering to be truthful and kind simultaneously.

--Did you suffer illness or injury?

same old illnesses. nothing new. i do not recall any injuries, which means now i should give up doing dishes for the rest of the year lest there be a horrible paring knife accident.

--What was the best thing you bought?

um. not a very materialistic year, i guess. i did get this-- http://www.etsy.com/transaction/38196190 which makes me happy.

everyone. that's my answer and i'm sticking to it.

house, consumer debt, baby fund, food.

well, the other day i almost hyperventilated because it's starting to seem as if there might be an *actual* baby in my future instead of a theoretical baby in a theoretical future.

just enough thinner so my pants fit strangely. dammit. (all congratulations on weight loss must be accompanied by money to buy new pants. seriously.)

--How will you be spending Christmas?

weekend before, we went down to the juggler's parents house. on the 23rd and the 24th, we went to my parents. on christmas proper, we went to holy land in ne minneapolis and had some nice halal food for dinner. if they ask you if you want hot sauce on your food they really mean it. i'm just warning you. they also continue to have the best hummus ever.

uh. zero. i think.

well, i hated tom coburn last year, too, so probably not.

yarn. the same job. stability.

uh. the only movie i saw in the theater was _from paris, with love_ which i was unable to utter any word other than "fuck!" in various cadences for about half an hour after. so, not favorite, really. just only.

i took the day off from work and took the dogs to petco. this is what i wanted to grow up for? hm. i'm thirty eight. i did have a party later in the year.

--What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

either a baby or a phone call. also, a lack of arbitrary limits.

--How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?

i am trying to challenge people less and fit more into traditional femininity, which is in fact related to things i'd like to have happen at work.
