My best friend is rather spectacularly imploding, which sucks out loud. And there was some really irritating fuckery around my flight reservations earlier. But I had a customer service rock star on my side, and things got better. So right now I'm in Miami Beach for a really amazing conference, in a lovely room from which I can see water. And soon someone will bring me a sandwich, some fruit, a creme brulee, and some overpriced wine. And I'm watching a special on Harry Potter. So things could definitely be worse.
