knitters! help finding a pattern
Nov. 4th, 2011 02:00 pmi want to knit a waterfall cardigan, sort of shaped like this--
http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/59285/65817/plaid-cascade-cardigan.aspx
except i'm not sure about that collar. i am *definitely* not sure about the plaid; solid color or done with color change yarn would be lovely.
m. socks sent me a link last year sometime to something like this (because she is all fashion forward) and i do not have my heart set on that one, but anything with that waterfall sort of front, comes in a pattern for a 49 inch chest, and i might be able to finish it before i die. that's all i want.
i am using the wrong search words on ravelry because i can't find anything.
anyone have any links or better search-fu than me?

Date: 2011-11-04 08:46 pm (UTC)This one goes up to 54", http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/waterfall-cardie the picture of the one project completed shows that it's moss/seed stitch, which takes me way longer, but would hang nicely without stretching as much.
This http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEss11/KSPATTdaedalus.php is kind of cool and the models are cute. Maybe not quite big enough but I bet not too hard to adjust pattern (you can ask for help on that).
A lot of them get knitted from side to side, meaning that with a self-striping yarn or kettle-dyed, you'd get vertical stripes. I love love love the cardigan that I made that way and I get a lot of compliments on it (have I showed you a picture?)
