When it comes to less common spices and herbs, Penzey's Spices in Uptown is your friend. I know they have fenugreek there - I checked for Margo B recently.
mmm. if you want to do the real stuff, you're going to need teff, which will require a trip to a store where they'll sell injera ready made. i point this out in the interests of efficiency. ;)
The SLP Cub has Teff flour in the organics section, but I think I might prefer to just buy bread the first few times. If it gets used enough, then I'll try to make my own.
And that grocery store is very close to my daughter's apartment. I end up shopping at that Rainbow anyway, so it would just be a little detour...
those are what we used. it's a little unclear on how to "just brown" the onions, and the temperatures later on once the chicken is in is also unclear, but i suspect you know the former and for the latter we left it where it was.
nope, bought the injera. there's a pretty good size ethiopian/somali/oromo community around here, so i can actually buy injera within walking distance of *me*.
