getting through the winter.
Nov. 1st, 2010 05:12 pmso, josiedog is sick and likely to stay chronically sick, the adoption is moving but moving so slowly that i am having to take progress on faith, and there is some stuff going on jobwise that i would very much like to reach out and fix but am becoming resigned to the idea that the thing to do is hold off on fixing it until after godot is home.
so, being unable to fix any of these things via action, and having a hard time in winters anyhow, here is a list of things i need to remember on how to get through the winter.
sleep enough.
try not to plan things for sundays. need sunday to be a down-day.
even when you feel mopey and slow, do things. you'll feel mopey and slow but at least there will be groceries and the dishes will be done.
treat myself sometimes. anyone local up for cupcakes in december and february? at cupcake, i mean, or maybe the tiny cupcake place next to izzy's, if they are a snack-in sort of place.
snug the dogs. snug the juggler.
make plans for next summer that don't include exact time frames.
use the growlight at work. look into buying one for home.
remember that spring comes.
